By the end of the summer 2012 we decided to visit the Czech Republic. I had previously been there, staying at Frymburk on the Vltava river in the south, and had visited Prague on that occasion. As I still consider it one of the most beautiful cities I have been to, Vonne was quite curious about the capital.
We were intending to stay two weeks and so did not want lodgings within Prague itself. But as we were travelling by aircraft and not planning to rent a car, we did not want to stay too far from the city either.
After a thorough search on the internet, we found a rather nice looking pension in a village named Vysoký Újezd, about seven kilometres from Prague. Affordable, in the Czech countryside and yet within spitting distance of Prague by bus: the ideal combination. We made reservations for two weeks and were ready for our vacation to start!
The following pages will take you along on all of our adventures in and around Prague and show you a small selection of our (always) large collection of holiday pictures. Enjoy!
